It seems that the Ravnikar Potokar architectural office has become specialised in (among other things) homes for the elderly. Following the home in the Ljubljana Trnovo district and in Hodoš in Prekmurje, they have now designed a home for the elderly in Idrija. All three complexes are designed differently, but even a less experienced eye can see that they have been designed by the same architects. One thing is certain: the experience gained through designing and building serves as a good basis for creativity, as the home for the elderly in Idrija complements and upgrades the previous two. Its architectural concept and details are brought to perfection. Together with its external design, it is well integrated into the geographical, topographical and cultural context of the town of Idrija, at the interface between the Alpine and Dinaric worlds.
