Between 2015 and 2020, the construction of the new block of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant is due to commence. During construction, there will be some 3,000 workers on site, with diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and these workers will need to be provided with appropriate accommodation. The municipality, which currently has around 8,000 inhabitants, will experience a 38% increase in population, and particular attention must therefore be devoted to the placement of the workers’ settlement.
