Deliberations of Several Disciplines Put in Space

The Tourist Information Centre with its Pavilion for the Presentation of Archaeological Remains at Glavni trg in Celje is distinguished by autonomous architectural manifestation that is the fruit of the synthesis and linking of the deliberations of several disciplines.

The presentation of archaeological heritage is on the rise in Slovenia. In the last few years, several high quality archaeological testimonial sites around Slovene cities and towns have been implemented (examples of individual integrations into urban arrangements), and among cities the prominent roles go to Ljubljana, Izola (with the two archaeological parks), Ptuj, and Celje. These archaeological testimonial sites offer to towns specific spaces with an extraordinary tourist and educational potential, while their presence determines and increases the cultural value of the environments in which they are established.
